Since its beginning, Protec'Som has favoreds research. In partnership with several public and private laboratories, hospital and industrial centers, and through ongoing investments by nearly a turnover of nearly 15%, Protec'Som was able to develop two major research areas :

The controlled environment and in particular protection against particles of allergens that lead to two projects :

• Texaal ®, a 100% cotton fabric that can filter out few microns allergens. The dust-mite proof covers manufactured by Protec’Som in Texaal textile, brought to allergic patients absolute protection combined with an identical comfort of sleeping in comparison with their classical bed linen. Indeed Texaal textile is really far from the first generation of covers in plastic, fragile and terribly uncomfortable.
  
  Today tens of thousands of allergic patients have recovered, thanks to Texaal ®, the pleasure of a comfortable sleeping.
  
  
• Protexoderm®, still experimental, is generating great expectations form families for the relief of children suffering from atopic dermatitis.

The inhaled treatments by metered dose inhaler for asthma and chronic broncho-pulmonary:
Protec’Som has developed Itinhaler ®, the first asthma spacer entirely made of medical silicone.

This device launched since September 2009 in many countries has made several significant improvements in treatment by metered dose inhalers :

• A unique pharmacology allowing optimal drug deposition in the deep lung
• An unparalleled ease of use, particularly for outpatient treatment
• The security of biocompatible material
• The economy of a reusable device for hospitals thanks to its sterilization

The Laboratory Protec'Som has acquired a reputation in recent years on both national and international aerosol therapy in the scientific and medical community. Protec’Som is actively taking part in several research programs in public health in this specific area.
